Heart Burn Remedies

Eating rich food can cause occasional attacks of acid dyspepsia, as can eating food too quickly when rushed or stressed. The cause of heartburn is excess acid leaking back up the gullet, inflaming and irritating the lining of the oesophagus, producing the heartburn feeling. Antacid tablets may only mask the problems and can also be counterproductive as the stomach compensates by producing more acid. If this starts to happen more frequently you should look at what your eating and the speed of your consumption. If it still persists as always seek professional advice. Though you are welcome to try our aromatherapy remedy as a solution.

Directions:
Soak a small towel or cloth in a bowl of warm water that contains 20 drops of either Chamomile Oil or Lavender Oil. Place this over the abdomen to relieve inflammation and spasms caused by the heartburn. You can also try diluting either of these oils in a base oil, using 2 per cent of the active oil, then massaging gently into the abdomen.
